Dual-frequency Bluetooth PTT for the HG-UV79 radio
This wireless PTT replaces the one supplied with the HG-UV79 Bluetooth radio, and it’s the reason the radio stands out. The radio listens on two frequencies at once, and each button on this PTT transmits on one of them. You decide who hears you, with no menus, no channel switching and no hands off the bar or brakes.
How pilots use it
- XC flying: gaggle on A, retrieve driver on B
- Tow and winch launching: launch frequency on A, buddies on B
- Schools and tandem: students on A, landing field on B
Compatibility
- ✅ HG-UV79 radios bought from 2026 on. These have a PTT setup option in the Bluetooth menu.
- ❌ HG-UV79 radios bought before 2026. Order the single-button spare PTT instead.
